Trail Map 9/15

Hi everyone,

Our first full week of 5th grade is in the books. We expect that we're sending home some exhausted kids today! Read on for this week's announcements. 

  • Our Camp Roger field trip is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24th. We'll need a limited number of chaperones, but please hold off on volunteering for a spot until we can get some more information ready. 
    • We'll send permission slips home soon
    • Be sure that you've filled out a volunteer form with the office if you are interested in chaperoning (or doing anything in the future).
  • I (Mr. Beemer) have had a few parents generously ask if they could get me anything for my classroom. As it's my first year in the building, there are a handful of materials that I would love to get my hands on. I put together an Amazon wishlist to make things as simple as possible. Anything would be very much appreciated but please, do NOT feel pressured! Thank you for considering it!!
  • We're aiming to send home flyers and returned work on Fridays. Your child should have at least a returned ELA assignment coming home today.

Trail Map 8/24

 Hi Everyone, We had a great first week of school! We spent a lot of time this week getting to know your kids and learning about how we do things here at Central Woodlands. We're geared up for an amazing year of learning as Trailblazers! Read on for this week's announcements. Next week we will begin running our regular schedule and start the first unit of every subject. Here is our weekly schedule . This is subject to change (and likely will change!) as we figure out what works and what does not work.  Next week we will start sending home a daily planner, likely beginning on Tuesday or Wednesday. We're asking students to get parent signatures every night for the first quarter. If we feel it is no longer needed, we'll stop requiring signatures after that (you are, of course, welcome to continue this expectation with your own child). 5th Grade Update

 It's Halloween week! 👻Today we reminded students to carry their costumes in their bags to school tomorrow if they'd like to wear one. We will change into them later in the afternoon, and they will need to be independent with their changing. Please no elaborate or gory make up or play weapons. We have some fun activities planned and a treat at the end of the day!🎃 Thank you to everyone for coming to conferences last week and for partnering in your students' learning.
