Trail Map 9/24

Hi everyone, It was another great week for our Trailblazers! Read on for this week's announcements.  We talked with the kids about the Camp Roger field trip on Friday afternoon. They should have brought home the permission slip along with several other handouts. I misspoke in the last blog update--we're able to take as many parent chaperones as we'd like on the field trip. Please fill out this Google Form to let us know that you plan to attend. Parents will need to drive themselves to Camp Roger. We'll send out more information as the trip approaches.  All parents volunteers (including field trip chaperones) need to fill out a Volunteer Consent Form . Please email Wendy Ellis with questions wellis@fhps.net Please continue to sign your child's planner and encourage home/school responsibility.  Both classes are working on improving our listening and following directions skills--many kids are really struggling! One quick example: well over 50% of Trailblazers forgot...

Trail Map 9/15

Hi everyone, Our first full week of 5th grade is in the books. We expect that we're sending home some exhausted kids today! Read on for this week's announcements.  Our Camp Roger field trip is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24th. We'll need a limited number of chaperones, but please hold off on volunteering for a spot until we can get some more information ready.  We'll send permission slips home soon Be sure that you've filled out a volunteer form with the office if you are interested in chaperoning (or doing anything in the future). I (Mr. Beemer) have had a few parents generously ask if they could get me anything for my classroom. As it's my first year in the building, there are a handful of materials that I would love to get my hands on. I put together an Amazon wishlist to make things as simple as possible. Anything would be very much appreciated but please, do NOT feel pressured! Thank you for considering it!! We're aiming to send home flyers and retu...

Trail Map 9/8

Hi everyone, We're finally settled in on a regular routine here at Central Woodlands. We've finished our MAP tests for the fall and have begun the first unit of each subject area. Read on for this week's announcements.  Planners are now being sent home on a daily basis. Please be sure to check these and sign them nightly. Many kids frequently come to school without their planner signed! Here's a link to a digital copy for your reference:  Trailblazers Planner . Please make sure that your child has their library books on Tuesdays. M-step results were sent home today, please take a look with your child. These tests were taken at the end of 4th grade. GILLIES CLASS: Some students did not remember to bring their M-Step test results home, despite reminders. They will bring them on Monday. A few others took the wrong test results home. Please return any wrong results back to school on Monday. Thank you.  Thank you for your continued support! Have a great weekend!
